We are a licensed DMC/tour operator based in Kyoto creating and guiding our original tours across the country.
The company was established in 2017. Our aim is to offer “the best travel memory that never fades away” to people around the world who come to Japan. Since then, the company has taken each challenge as they come gaining trust and experience. Now we have developed tours that cover the entire country. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped us reach where we are now.
Our wide range of operations are as follows:
Guiding our tailormade tour
HANDS ON JAPAN offers from one day Kyoto tour to a whole Japan package which can be crafted to best suit to your needs. The types of tours include a classic golden route, countryside experience, farm stay, homestay, off the beaten track, honeymoon trip, family groups adventure and incentive tour. All of our products are tailor made and the whole process of a tour from planning to guiding is taken care of by us. Meanwhile as one off project, we have made unique requests happen such as having a Champagne party in a Buddhist temple, holding a banquet in a private Japanese boat, eating sushi prepared by a chef on the spot in a machiya townhouse, and learning how to dye fabric from indigo dyeing artisan. So, don’t be shy and throw us any dream idea you have.
VIP guest
We can make special arrangements and create a bespoke tour for people who requires utmost care and specific treatments such as government officials, elite athletes and its associate group, artists, and celebrities.
Linking up with the community
We are in close contact with many local DMOs promoting their tourism contents together. From a perspective of an inbound travel expert, we give them advice to make those destinations more appealing to international guests. Local DMOs, inbound associations and we are working together to bring more guests to these communities, resulting in travelers discovering new destinations.
Linking up with the tourism bureau
HANDS ON JAPAN was commissioned to play a part in national tourism promotion campaign issued by Japan National Tourism Organization. Our responsibility involved coordinating working contracts for invited overseas writers, translation, and travel schedule management.
Inbound consulting
We provide advice for restaurants and accommodations as to ways to increase in international customers and make their experience more comfortable.
From the director
We strongly believe that one of our strongest points is that we are a small team. This allows each member of the company to take a leadership and make an important decision flexibly and quickly if required. Our team doesn’t hesitate to go the extra mile to make any requests of guests happen. Our goal is to get your hands on real Japan and offer you a lifetime memory that never fades away. We are looking forward to meeting you all.
